Stirs the SOUL :: Conscious Raw Chocolate is made from raw cacao beans, not paste or powder. We are one of the only RAW chocolate companies in the US who grind our own cacao, we are a true bean to bar company. This allows us to control flavor, aroma, consistency & minimally process our products in small batches. We carefully monitor the temperatures of our grinders to keep our chocolate raw. Our grinders never reach temperatures above 111ºF. During tempering we keep temperatures even lower.

As you may have heard, there is a recent revelation about sources of raw cacao powder and butter that are not really raw. Our bars are mostly made with raw cacao beans which we grind ourselves. We do use a little raw cacao butter in our bars which comes from a "verified" raw source.
